About this tool

Calculate cumulative GPA (CGPA) across multiple semesters by entering each semester GPA and its completed credits.

How it works

A credit-weighted CGPA gives greater influence to semesters with more credits. The calculation combines semester quality points and divides them by total completed credits.

Example

Example: if one semester is 15 credits at 3.6 GPA and another is 18 credits at 3.2 GPA, the combined CGPA is weighted by 15 and 18 credits rather than simply averaging 3.6 and 3.2.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between GPA and CGPA?

GPA usually refers to a term or semester average, while CGPA is the cumulative average across multiple completed terms.

Should semester GPAs be weighted by credits?

Yes, when the institution calculates cumulative GPA from credit-bearing courses, weighting by completed credits is the usual approach.

Can I add more than two semesters?

Yes. Add each semester and its credit load to calculate a cumulative result.

Important: Tool results are planning aids unless the page states otherwise. For admissions, scholarships, language tests and fees, always confirm the current rule or requirement with the official provider.
